Day One Hundred and Forty Seven Part III. And the conclusion to Day 4 of our Epic Cross Country Road Trip! We stopped in Holbrook for the night and I couldn't help but notice how far out in the middle of nowhere we were. That meant it's Milky Way time! We drove up out past the airport to try and get as far away from the town's lights as we could without driving too far. We'd already driven pretty far that day and another few hours in the car was the last thing either of us wanted. After getting set up and taking a few test shots, I was a little disappointed with the amount of light pollution I was seeing, but after getting the final shot, I was pretty happy with how it came out given that the good Milky Way season had already been over for a couple months :)
