Infrared Photography Experiment

2014.08.31
Day One Hundred and Ninety Three. My shiny new infrared filter showed up in the mail, so I had to run right outside and test it. Image #1 is the scene as seen by the naked eye. Yes, there was actually a rainbow in the fountain. The late afternoon sun caught the water just right and produced a visible rainbow. Image #2 is the same scene in IR, straight out of the camera. And, finally, image #3 is that same IR image, processed to black and white. I think the coolest part about IR photography is how it turns the trees white. What do you think of the effect?
