Risnjak National Park

2017.06.11
Day Two Hundred and Sixty Eight. Risnjak National Park is one of the closest parks to where I'm staying, so don't ask me why it took so long for me to get here, haha ... I guess because it's not on anyone's top 10 list, but it's a national park within driving distance, so it's my duty to check it out!

The hike was downright pleasant. Not as fun or exciting as Northern Velebit, but just really nice. Well, it was really nice up until the point where I starting setting up for the long exposure of the peak. One of my filters decided it'd be a neat idea to get stuck, so I whipped out my handy dandy filter remover wrenches and set about the delicate task of lining them up correctly and subsequently looking very silly as I applied ever-increasing amounts of pressure, trying desperately not break anything ... when *POP* one of the arms snapped off 😫

I did eventually manage to get the filter unstuck, but it involved rather a lot more fingerprints all over the filter than I generally prefer. When I get back, I'll be replacing my crappy plastic wrenches with rubber-coated metal ones. Probably these: Neewer Rubber-Coated Metal Camera Lens Filter Remover Wrench Set.

So, after all that, I hope you enjoy the 4 and a half minute long exposure I eventually managed to get 😀
