San Diego from Harbor Island

2012.08.28
Day Eighty. Hopped on down to San Diego for LinuxCon. The conference was at the Sheraton on Harbor Island, which just so happens to provide an awesome view of downtown. I took my tripod out to the southern tip of the island and did some super long exposure work with the lights coming over the water. I quickly broke every record I previously held for exposure length, the longest exposure in the set being over five minutes. If you're wondering what those crazy light streaks in the sky are, I promise they're not aliens. They're airplanes lining up to land at San Diego International. Of any set I've published previously, the images of downtown are really worth looking at full size, zoomed in to 100%. The amount of detail captured is simply stunning :)
