Markley's Gun Range

2012.08.23
Day Seventy Six. Went up to Markley's in Watsonville to do some pseudo portrait work with the new lens (yes, it's primarily a macro lens, but since it's a fast prime it's also better for portrait work than the 28-300). We rented a Glock and bought two boxes of ammo. The Glock was extremely fun to shoot, but I actually had more fun shooting with the 105mm. Wide open at f/2.8, it's a beautiful thing. I wasn't able to catch any muzzle flash, but I did get a couple nice shots of smoke coming out of the chamber and one where the ejected casing is flying out :)
